Refund and payment policy

This Refund and Payment Policy forms part of the Alchemyfolio Terms of Service. It explains how payments for Alchemyfolio paid plans work and when refunds are available. Alchemyfolio is a business based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

1. One-time payments, no subscriptions

Pro and Elite are sold as one-time payments. Each payment gives access to the paid features for the period shown at checkout, such as 30 days or 12 months. Nothing renews automatically and we will never charge you again unless you choose to buy more time.

When your period ends, your account moves back to the free plan. Your trades, notes and other data stay in your account, but features and limits outside the free plan, such as extra accounts or broker sync, are paused until you buy more time.

2. Prices and taxes

Prices are set in, and charged through, our payment provider Whop, and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Prices may exclude taxes, which are added where required, including Canadian GST or HST. Your bank or card provider may charge currency conversion or other fees, which are your responsibility.

We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects time you have already paid for.

3. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Whop as our payment provider and merchant of record, under Whop's terms and privacy policy. Whop may support cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods. We do not see or store your full card details.

Your plan is activated automatically once Whop confirms your payment, usually within a few seconds. If your plan is not active within one hour of a successful payment, contact us with your receipt and we will fix it.

4. Buying more time and upgrading

If you buy more time or upgrade while a paid plan is active, your remaining days carry over and are added to the new period. We do not convert, split or refund remaining days.

5. All sales are final

Because paid plans give immediate access to digital features, and because you can try the free plan before buying, all payments are final and non-refundable once your plan is activated, including for unused time, partial periods, a change of mind, not using the Service, or deleting your account.

6. When we will refund

We will refund a payment, in full or in part, only in these cases:

Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same purchase.

Failed delivery: a paid feature you bought was unavailable to you because of a fault on our side, we could not fix it within 7 days of you reporting it, and you have not otherwise used the paid features for that period.

Our termination: we closed your account for our own convenience and not because you breached the Terms, in which case we refund the unused portion of your period on a pro-rata basis.

Required by law: where a refund is required under applicable consumer protection law.

Any other refund, credit or extension is at our sole discretion and does not create an obligation to give one again.

7. How to request a refund

Email hello@alchemyfolio.com within 7 days of the charge with the email on your account, your receipt or payment reference, and the reason for your request. We will reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned through Whop to the original payment method, and banks can take 5 to 10 business days to show them. When a refund is made, the related paid access ends.

8. Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute. Most problems can be solved quickly. If a chargeback or dispute is opened, we may suspend your paid access and your account while it is open, provide your account and usage records to the payment provider to respond to it, and close your account if the dispute is resolved without good reason. Fraudulent disputes may be reported to the payment provider and the authorities.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by agreement, including the Consumer Protection Act (Alberta).
